Position Title : Integration Administrator I, II, or III

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing and analyzing data used for planning, coordinating, architecting, and monitoring all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions as required to meet the business requirements of the organization. This individual also assists in the development and maintenance of an integration architecture blueprint for the organization. The incumbent will monitor the integration of systems under development by in-house software development teams; commercial off-the-shelf software deployed in the organization; and with external third parties, as necessary. This position provides support for data warehouse initiatives, monitoring data warehouse loads for reliability and accuracy; and performs work with database administrators to expand, develop, implement, and support the organization's data warehouse. This position is identified as a Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) related position, which may allow physical and/or logical access to Bulk Electric System (BES) cyber related assets or systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in providing analysis, architectural and technical guidance to design, develop, test, configure, upgrade, and maintain enterprise applications and processes.

  • Provide daily support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution, including after hours on-call support.

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures, and control processes to safeguard computer systems.

  • Prepare detailed specifications and documentation for the integration processes.

  • Provide input to Integration Admin III and Lead to assist in the establishment and recommending technical and architectural technology roadmap and deliverables as it applies to automation and integration technology.

  • Document risks, issues, or critical success factors that may require immediate action.

  • Assist team working on any assigned technical initiatives. Develop business relationships and assist in the coordination and communication activities with other departments.

  • Act as resource for Integration Admin III and Lead to support IT Project Management initiatives.

  • Gather technical information from internal and external customers. Compare existing technology to align with business requirements and use this analysis to assist in the recommendation and implementation of technology solutions.

  • Work with teams on software projects of varying size and assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation automation of solutions by leveraging current and new automation tools and software that align with enterprise strategy and roadmap. Prioritize automation initiatives based on business needs, cost savings, and other relevant factors.

  • Assist with the research of opportunities to transform the current architecture to be cloud compatible. Consider reusability, integrations, and automation to reduce manual efforts and increase efficiency.

  • Research emerging application and data integration technologies.

Qualifications :

Integrations Administrator I:

  • Four-year degree in computer science, computer programming, data science, software development, information technology, computer or software engineering, or a related field; or

  • Two-year degree in computer science, computer programming, data science, software development, information technology, computer or software engineering, or a related field and 2 years of related IT experience; or

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and 4 years of related IT experience.

  • General knowledge of application development and application lifecycles; application development; implementation of applications; procedural language; Structured Query Language (SQL), Object-oriented programming (OOP), and relational database concepts.

  • Understand the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.

Integrations Administrator II:

  • Four-year degree in computer science, computer programming, data science, software development, information technology, computer or software engineering, or a related field and 3 years of related IT experience; or

  • Two-year degree in computer science, computer programming, data science, software development, information technology, computer or software engineering, or a related field and 5 years of related IT experience; or

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and 7 years of related IT experience.

  • Working knowledge of application development and application lifecycles; application development; implementation of applications; procedural language; Structured Query Language (SQL), Object-oriented programming (OOP), and relational database concepts.

  • Knowledge of linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.

Integrations Administrator III:

  • Four-year degree in computer science, computer programming, data science, software development, information technology, computer or software engineering, or a related field and 7 years of related IT experience; or

  • Two-year degree in computer science, computer programming, data science, software development, information technology, computer or software engineering, or a related field and 9 years of related IT experience; or

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and 11 years of related IT experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of application development and application lifecycles; application development; implementation of applications; procedural language; Structured Query Language (SQL), Object-oriented programming (OOP), and relational database concepts.

  • Knowledge of linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.

Other Requirements:

  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and IT strategic development skills.

  • Able to work with project teams, handling multiple projects, and prioritizing tasks effectively.

  • Knowledge of business and information technology principles and ability to review and identify technical solutions that support business IT needs.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Project management experience and experience with API protocols and schemes, securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, and working with multiple types and formats of data.

  • Knowledge of project management tools and software.

  • Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • A valid driver’s license.

Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:

This position requires frequent sitting and standing/walking; and occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, use of keyboard/computer, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires good hearing and vision, and the ability to speak. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines. This position occasionally works in conditions of dirt, dust, fumes, chemicals, extreme heat/cold, vibration, and noise. Occasional travel may be required.
